Catechisms are oftentimes created along with confessions to help people learn and remember the doctrines of the confessions. For example, the Catechism for Boys and Girls and the Baptist Catechism are designed to help people learn and remember the teachings of the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith, and the Westminster Shorter Catechism and Westminster Larger Catechism are designed to help people learn and remember the teachings of the Westminster Confession of Faith.

Baptist Catechism
The Baptist Catechism is more extensive than the Catechism for Boys and Girls. It was designed to be a companion to the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith. It contains 114 questions and answers.
Westminster Shorter Catechism

The Westminster Shorter Catechism is a shorter and more accessible catechism than the Westminster Larger Catechism. It was designed to be a companion to the Westminster Confession of Faith. It contains 107 questions and answers.
Westminster Larger Catechism

Heidelberg Catechism
